I watched the snow blow ferociously outside while listening to my children argue about Pokemon cards AGAIN. My nerves were frayed from the constant banter, and my temper was truly at the edge of completely losing it.
Have you ever “lost it” with your children?
I would love to say that it’s never happened in our house, but that would be a big ol’ lie.
It’s hard to admit I am not a perfect mother with everything together, but that’s a discussion for another day.
As I contemplated what words I could use with my rugrats without totally destroying their self-esteem, I thought about the bible.
Just a few hours earlier my nine-year-old asked me why we memorize scripture.
We do it because the bible is our life manual. When something comes up and you are searching for the right choice to make the scripture will tell you what God expects of you. The Holy Spirit will remind you with the sacred words you already know.
Now I had the opportunity to take my own advice.
Here are 12 bible verses for when you need to tame your mouth.
