Have you ever thought to yourself, I have my whole life together. Everything is organized and as it should be?
Neither have I.
Most days I wonder if life will ever slow down or resemble how things used to be before I had four children.
The thing is Christ does not want us to live a life of chaos and unrest. He came so we could have peace and rest during our time on earth. God wants us to live joyfully while taking care of our families.
When Shannon Upton approached me about reviewing her book, Organizing You: Finding your spiritual clutter and using organization to clear it out, I was intrigued.
Who doesn’t want to be more organized?!
As I began reading I discovered Shannon’s passion for Jesus and Jesus Moms (and endearing term she coins in the book). She takes you through each aspect of your responsibilities in the home and shows how to simply get things done.
Shannon also discusses those never-ending lists in our heads along with the clutter that so often overtakes our spirits. She provides tools such as example schedules, chore lists, and planner ideas.
What I love most about this book is on the last few pages:
My prayer for you now is that you’ll take from this book everything you can in order to bring yourself closer to your loved ones and to God. My fervent desire is for you to wisely build your house by giving thought to your ways. My hope for you is that you become the Jesus Mom you feel called to be, the mom God made you to be.
Don’t you love that?!
Now I get to share all of Shannon’s advice with you. I have two books to give away! Woo Hoo!
All you need to do is enter below as many times you wish.
AND, Shannon’s new book is available Wednesday, September 30th! Building Your House: A Faithful Mom’s Guide to Organizing Home and Family is about building your home on the firm foundation of faith—organize your belongings, routines, and family life with Jesus.
