The lord is my light and salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I fear? ~Psalm 27
I hate fear.
It’s something I’ve experienced since I was young and there are times it puts me right back in the fetal position.
I fear not being enough for my husband, my children, my friends, my family, myself.
I want to be the one who holds it all together when others are falling apart.
But then I’m afraid I will drop it all, and everyone will see I don’t have it together.
I struggle daily to keep my fears in check.
But, I also know how God feels about fear. He instructs throughout the bible to FEAR NOT. Over and over the Lord tells us to be strong and courageous.
God assures believers that he is available to us always by way of the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and prayer.
When I am knee-deep in anxiety and cannot seem to catch my breath I try to always remember, God loves me, he wants the best for me. Why would he ever abandon me?? He created me before time began, and I know he has a plan for my life. He is responsible for it all.
I believe these truths because I have been in the Word and watched God bring me out of the worst fear I ever experienced.
He loves me enough to bring me through the deepest waters, and He loves you too.
The Lord is our Light and Salvation. He brings us through the darkest areas of this life with an open hand and guiding heart. He knows every single thing before they occur. He is prepared for our anxiety, our fears, our worries, our disappointments. When we begin to dig deeper into His Word and accept His plan for our lives then we can walk through the rising waters with hope.
Thought to Prayerfully Consider: How do you work through your fears? Do you acknowledge His love for you?
